Master Bedroom Inspiration Photos

My dream bedroom by none other than Candice Olsen.
Model Home bedroom in the Ross Bridge community.
This actually looks more like something I would want to do for a guest bedroom, but it is by my second favorite designer, Linda Woodrum. Doesn't it look cozy?
Apparently I like poster beds?

I've Caught the Bug

Building a house has overtaken my brain. I can't stop thinking about how to decorate every corner of our new home. These are photos I have collected for living room inspirations. I realize this is not very interesting for you, but it sure does help me to get my thoughts together...

This is actually a townhouse that is for sale in my town. Got this photo from the realty site.
I love the soft colors.

I can't remember where I got this photo from.
I have been collecting these for a long time...sorry!

Staying in a Mansion and Building a Little House of Our Own

Sorry I am a few days late, but I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!

This year was especially good for us. Friday night we decided to try to beat the crowds and go out for our V-day celebration a day early. Apparently, everyone else in the city had the same idea but we managed to have a nice dinner and exchanged presents. I got Ben some of his favorite candies, a surprise trip to Bud's Best Cookie Factory (he has actually been wanting this for almost a year now), a pre-ordered copy of the new U2 CD and a paper shredder. He was very happy with his gifts...he is a pretty simple guy. He gave me red tulips (tulips are one of my faves) and a copy of the John Mayer: Where the Light Is DVD and then he surprised me with a trip to the Biltmore! We are going in March and I can't wait! Maybe I will actually take some photos of this trip so I can blog about it.

The best part of our celebration came on Saturday when we wrote a contract on a house we have been looking at for a couple of weeks now. That's right, I got a house for Valentine's Day! (Let's see if he can beat that gift next year!) Actually, we are building the house and it won't be ready until mid-July so it might end up being an Anniversary gift as well. We are super excited about getting to be a part of the building process and can't wait to move into our new home! God has truly blessed us through this whole process and we are very aware of the fact that He is our Provider.

Here is a photo of a house in our neighborhood that has the same floor plan as ours. This should give you an idea of what our home will look like. Imagine black shutters...rocking chairs on the front porch (maybe a swing too)...a little ivy growing up the columns...and most definitely an American flag in the front yard!

Welcome Mason Tinsley!

I am so proud to announce the birth of Mason Tinsley. He was born last Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 7:12 PM, was 19.25 inches long and weighed 6 lbs 10 ounces. He is the most precious and perfect baby. I can't wait to watch him grow up...just not too fast.

Prestigious Award

I am so behind on blogging, especially "tagged blogs". I have graciously been nominated twice with this Prestigious Award and have been awful enough to snub my cyber nose at the honor by not fulfilling my blogging duties. I apologize to Jessa & Amanda for failing them so horribly! I truly appreciate the gesture and the compliment. Please forgive my tardy gratitudes!

5 Things I am Addicted to:
  1. The Food Network
  2. Friends - It has been off the air for 5 years and I still can't get enough!
  3. Finding design inspirations photos online. I am currently enamored with the site www.myhomeideas.com. Thanks for telling about this little gem, Laura!
  4. Cooking. This is a double edge sword for me. I love to cook but the problem is that I also love to eat what I cook.
  5. Making lists. I have lists of my lists.
